The Orcas blow the Agents out of the water in a 4-0 sweep in the MPL PH S11 grand finals after coming up from the lower bracket finals.
The SMX convention center erupted as ECHO took the title of MPL PH S11 grand finals champions from Blacklist International. The Orcas earned their victory as they also took down RSG Slate PH earlier in the day in the lower bracket in a full five-game brawl.
With this victory, ECHO completes its conquest of the Philippine Mobile Legends scene as they become the first organization to win both MPL PH and the newly inaugurated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Development League (MDL).
ECHO’s Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya was crowned the grand finals mvp. “Sana kung panaginip man po to sana hindi na ako magising,” said the 16 year old EXP laner.
Special guests Jessica Sanchez and Alisson Shore also performed for the MPL S11 grand finals opening ceremony much to the delight of the excited fans.
Together with the celebrations were the MPL PH S11 season awards presented by Dr. Jesucito M. Garcia, the Games and Amusements Board Chief of the Professional Sports and Games Division:
- Rookie of the Season: Kenneth “Yue” Tadeo, Blacklist International
- Regular Season MVP: Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo, Bren Esports
- Best English Caster: Renmar “Reptar” Santa Cruz
- Best Filipino Caster: Caisam “Wolf” Nopueto
- 12th Hall of Legends Inductee: Edward “EDWARD” Dapdap, Blacklist International
ECHO will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) as the champions, with Blacklist International as the runner-up. MSC will take place in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on June 10.
