Bianca Bustamante got to hear the Philippine National Anthem on the F1 Academy podium for the second time — and on her favorite track.
Italy — Monza, more specifically — certainly suits Filipina race car driver Bianca Bustamante, as she picked up back-to-back podium finishes in Round 4 of the all-female championship, F1 Academy.
Bianca opened the race weekend on a strong note, securing an impressive P2 finish in Race 2 at Monza Circuit after starting from ninth place and making her way up to the podium. This marked a significant improvement for the young gun, after struggling in the previous two race weekends.
But, Bianca Bustamante did not stop there.
Following her podium finish, it was evident that Bustamante was hungry for more. Starting from P2 for Race 3 of the weekend, she put on an incredible battle with the driver up ahead, Abbi Pulling, to claim the lead of the race. She took it all the way home and crossed the checkered flag to secure her second career victory.
Bianca captured her first victory as a Formula driver in the opening race weekend of F1 Academy in Austria.
This is an incredible achievement for the racer, who is already making motorsports history as the first Filipina driver in F1 Academy. But on top of this, her back-to-back podium finishes in Monza also mark a dream come true for Bianca Bustamante, who told The GAME that Monza was her favorite track of all time.
“Today in Monza we won something much greater than just a race. I achieved one of the dreams of 7yr Bia to win in her dream track with her Italian dream team in a red car,” she posted on her Instagram.
This race weekend will definitely be one that Bianca remembers for the rest of her career.
