IRONMAN 70.3 Davao Philippines
Distance: Half IRONMAN (Swim: 1.9km, Bike: 90km, Run: 21km)

The IRONMAN events are among the most popular triathlons in the Philippines, and the 70.3 race in Davao has become one of the best destination races, not only for Filipino triathletes from all over the country, but also for professionals from all over the world.
As an island in the Philippines, Davao is home to a rich culture, abundant natural resources, and even the tallest mountain in the country, Mt. Apo. With this, going for a long-distance triathlon such as a half-IRONMAN, why not do so in a place brimming with nature?
And if you think you’re not ready to go for a full race just yet this early in the year, you can also sign up for the relay with your friends too.

Sun Life 5150 Bohol
Distance: Short Course (Swim: 1.5km, Bike: 40km, Run: 10km) and Minisprint (Swim: 750m, Bike: 20km, Run: 5km)
Location: Bohol
Date: July 9, 2023
The 5150 Triathlon event is one of the best ones to join, especially for up-and-comers to the sport.
This year, the 5150 to be held in Bohol in July will feature two different categories. The first will be the main event, which features what they refer to as a “Short-Course” distance, which is similar to a standard sprint distance. For triathletes working up to the half-IRONMAN distance, this is a great place to start off.
In addition to this, this year, 5150 is adding a sub-category which they are calling the Sunrise Sprint. The distance for this is similar to half of a standard sprint distance, which is perfect for beginners in the sport.

IRONMAN 70.3 Puerto Princesa
Distance: Short Course (Swim: 1.5km, Bike: 40km, Run: 10km) and Minisprint (Swim: 750m, Bike: 20km, Run: 5km)
Location: Bohol
Date: July 9, 2023
Puerto Princesa is a city located in the heart of Palawan, and it is a tropical paradise. Is there a better way to get through one of the most challenging triathlons in the Philippines? Probably not.
According to IRONMAN’s official website, “Athletes will begin their single-loop 1.9km swim at the Puerto Princesa Baywalk Park. Once on their bikes, athletes will do the three-loop 90km bike that will take them to the lush rainforests and scenic views of the southern part of Puerto Princesa to the Iwahig Bridge. After they rack their bikes, athletes will head south and around the City Center for the two-loop 21km run. Athletes will run to the Ramon V. Mitra Jr. Sports Complex oval track for their well-deserved finish line.”
Taking place in November, whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, you’ll still have a full year to train for this amazing event. What better way to cap off the year?
