LOOK: adidas Reveals the Filipinas’ Women’s World Cup Kits!

As this year will mark the Philippines’ first FIFA World Cup appearance, these jerseys mark a huge part of the history the Filipinas are making.

In the build-up to the FIFA World Cup, whether it’s for the men’s or the women’s tournament, the kit reveal of each participating nation is always a huge deal for the players and for the fans, because it signifies a moment in sporting history.

This year, as the Philippine Women’s National Football Team embark on their first Women’s World Cup berth, adidas has got their backs. Literally. And today, the iconic sportswear brand has finally revealed the official national team kits of the Filipinas!

The Filipinas will be heading to the Women’s World Cup in July with three different kits.

Their home kit is called Sipa at Tiyaga. This kit’s color and design are meant to represent the Filipinas’ calm and collected nature as they embark on this historic moment for Philippine sports.

Secondly, the Filipinas showcased their away kits, entitled, Ang Bagong Yugto. The color white is used to represent new beginnings, and in this case, it fits the Philippine Women’s National Football Team perfectly. As they head to the Women’s World Cup for the first time in their history, this marks a storied chapter, not only for the team, but for Philippine football.

Finally, adidas unveiled the third kit called Alab ng Puso. The color red is meant to showcase the passion the Filipinas have for their sport and for their country, especially as they achieve excellence on the world stage.

“It’s an incredible thing to wear their logo on their jersey,” Hali Long shared when the team first revealed adidas as their kit sponsor. “That respect that we carry now, it’s like the other bigger countries that we will be playing against in the World Cup.”

Making history for the Philippines, it seems only right that the Filipinas have partnered with adidas for their Women’s World Cup kits, as the team fittingly carries the brand’s mantra, Impossible is Nothing.
