Mike Tyson is eating ears again, but this time it’s less gross

Mike Tyson’s most iconic moment in the ring is arguably not among his 44 wins by knockout. As “The Baddest Man on the Planet”, the point immortalized in his career was his fight against Evander Holyfield, where Tyson bit off a part of Holyfield’s ear.

25 years after shocking the entire world, Tyson is again chewing on ears. But this time, Holyfield is in on it. And thankfully, it is a lot less gruesome.

The boxing duo has recently teamed up again to start a new cannabis company called Carma Holdings, which houses Tyson’s company, Tyson 2.0. Now, together with his former rival, they just launched their first product: ‘Holy Ears’.

Be Like Mike

In many areas across the United States, the use of marijuana or cannabis has been made legal. With this, there are now more and more sources around the country selling the drug in different forms—like ears.

‘Holy Ears’ is a new cherry-flavored, cannabis-infused edible in the shape of an ear. Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield announced the launch of this new product in a Christmas-themed commercial, where the two exchange Christmas gifts.

In the commercial, Tyson gifts Holyfield a pack of ‘Holy Ears’. He tells his former rival that it is, “Cherry Pie Punch flavor.”

Holyfield insists that his ears don’t taste like Cherry Pie, to which Tyson responds, “Yes they do. I ate your ear, I should know.”

Well, now people across the United States can be like Mike and taste it for themselves with the new ‘Holy Ears’ collection. The product is also all-natural, vegan, and gluten-free.

However, as humorous as it is to make a snack out of one of the most gruesome moments in boxing history, the message behind the product actually goes deeper than that.

“Back then, we didn’t realize that even as power athletes, we were also in a lot of pain. Now, nearly 20 years later, we have the opportunity to share the medicine we really needed throughout our careers,” Holyfield shared in a statement, alluding to the various medicinal benefits of each strain and how it could have possibly helped with recovery.

Time has clearly healed old wounds (literally and figuratively) for these two legends in the boxing scene. And as the holidays are rolling around, their Christmas spirit is as alive as their legacies.
