After a result that cemented DLSU as title challengers for Season 85, the Green Archers put up a loss against the UE Red Warriors in a wide-open season.
The Green Archers looked in control, with a lead of 67-59. However, Kyle Paranada went on to score eight straight points to level the game with just over four minutes remaining. Capitalizing on the tied game, UE then went on a 22-5 run to help them seal a win of 81-72.
Brothers Kyle and Nikko Paranada led UE’s winning effort, scoring 20 and 18 points respectively. In addition, Kyle also finished with six assists, three rebounds, and three steals.
Despite being on the losing side, Schonny Winston scored a game-high 26 points for the Green Archers. He also recorded nine rebounds and four steals.
This Saturday, DLSU will be aiming to improve their record and recover from this loss in their game against the FEU Tamaraws. On Sunday, UE will also be hoping to maintain their winning form against the UST Growling Tigers.
