The term ‘gamechanger’ is thrown around a lot, but we have a pretty good feeling about this one.
The next mobile gaming powerhouse is right around the corner with the Infinix GT 30 Pro, the next official tournament phone of the MPL Philippines. It’s slated to drop on June 23 and promises to bring Console-Level Control to mobile games.
As the next iteration of Infinix’s GT series of phones, the GT 30 has a lot to live up to. They’ve consistently set a high bar for mobile gaming and now they’re also bringing something extra to the table with their new GT Triggers. So, can the GT 30 Pro meet these expectations?

Right off the bat, the first noticeable difference with the GT 30 from its predecessor is its weight. It’s lighter, more ergonomic, and its 144Hz AMOLED, 1.5K gaming display keeps everything clear and in focus.
All of this compliments its robust gaming capabilities, with its Dimensity 8350 Ultimate 5.5G chipset doing the heavy lifting to hit that 120 FPS. Not all games can reach that number, but select titles like MLBB and CoD Mobile give you the option. And boy does the GT 30 Pro take advantage of it.
Whether it’s MLBB or CoD Mobile, no matter the gamestate or action happening on the screen, it’s only a buttery-smooth gaming experience from beginning to end. Even at their highest settings, games are fast and responsive on the GT 30 Pro. A truly impressive feat when you consider just how powerful the GT 20 was.
A Lot More Gaming Muscle
The Infinix GT 30 Pro also comes with a number of features that’s become standard in Infinix phones. It’s got a 5.5G network, the Infinix XArena gaming suite, and a number of smart charging options. It even has Infinix’s AI toolbox, Folax, to assist you in both work and play.
That being said, there really aren’t that many differences or even improvements in terms of the phone’s capabilities. It runs apps and can multitask just fine, similar to how the GT 20 performs.
In that sense, the GT 30 Pro really is a gaming phone first as all its best improvements went into making that experience better. Not that I mind, of course. I’m a gamer who likes a device that can offer top-of-the-line gaming performance while also doubling as a well-functioning phone. Infinix’s GT series has always been laser focused in that market and it really shows with the GT 30.
Pull the Trigger and Turn Win Streak Mode On
The real standout for the GT 30 Pro however are its GT Triggers. These touch-sensitive “shoulder” buttons emulate the experience of playing with a traditional video game controller. It’s a quality of life improvement that can truly change the way you play your games.
Setting up the GT Triggers is a quick and simple process as well as it just comes down to which buttons on the screen you want the triggers to press. You can create different presets for different heroes or loadouts and you can even swap them on the fly.
Personally, the GT Triggers have made mobile FPS’s a dream to play. As someone who grew up playing FPS’s on consoles, it’s like the Infinix GT 30 Pro was the missing piece for me to really start enjoying mobile FPS’s. I can’t overstate the potential for the GT Triggers to elevate your gaming experience and it’s a feature that everyone should be paying attention to when considering the GT 30 Pro.
