Slim design, power defined. There’s no better description for the world’s slimmest curved-screen gaming phone.
In a world where mobile games require more from our phones, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ shows that gaming phones don’t have to be bulky. We got a chance to try out the world’s slimmest gaming phone and see how well it holds up. Our verdict? This phone offers gamers a lot, and for just under PHP 9,000. On top of this, they’re even collaborating with Honor of Kings, highlighted by their special box sleeve and raffle card with a QR code that comes with every purchase.
The first thing that the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ really draws your attention to is its lightweight design. At 6.8mm and 162g this phone can comfortably fit anywhere, whether it’s in your hands or in your pocket. But just because it’s small doesn’t mean you have to worry about its durability.
Using its Titanium Feather architecture, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ can withstand everyday wear and tear despite its stature. It’s even IP54 dust and splash-proof, meaning that you don’t have to worry about the small things ruining this phone.
If you’re still worried about its longevity, then let its five-year TUV Fluidity Certification speak for itself. Through rigorous tests and optimizations, overseen by the global standard for testing and precision, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ ensures that you’ll have smooth, reliable operations for at least five years.
Punching Well Above Its Weight
The real star of the show however is its MediaTek Helio G100 gaming chip. As it carries the strongest gaming chip in its class of phones, this is where the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ really impressed us.
It contains Infinix’s suite of esports and gaming programs, allowing its users to make the most out of the gaming experience. And even with all of that, we could immediately feel how much of a difference maker the Helio G100 is in terms of performance. Regardless of the game you’re playing, you can maximize its graphics and it’ll still maintain a smooth and stable framerate. Temperatures also stay at manageable levels and its robust battery life means you won’t be cutting your gaming sessions short.
However, there are still small hiccups here and there that somewhat mar the experience. The phone does struggle when multiple flashy effects invade the screen. Fortunately, this only seems to happen to cutscenes while gameplay remains unaffected. Screen sensitivity also requires some fine-tuning, but there are already a number of options available for you to do so.
On a personal note, the fact that the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ can match the performance of its more elite brethren like the GT 20 Pro speaks well of its capabilities. For a phone of its size to be able to go toe-to-toe with one specifically designed for gaming, and at a lower price point as well, really opens the doors for what it means to be a gaming phone.
In the end, the Infinix HOT 50 Pro+ is remarkable in what it’s able to bring to the table. Its form and function blended into one for an affordable price. The HOT 50 Pro+ is available now for PHP 8,499, while the HOT 50 starts at PHP 6,999.
