We got a chance to put the new GT 30 through the wringer to see what it can really do.
The Infinix GT 30 Pro is all set to become the MPL Philippines’ new tournament phone, but what exactly led the strongest MLBB league in the world to pick it?
As a gaming device, the GT 30 has a lot going for it. Its Dimensity 8350 Ultimate 5.5G chipset and 144Hz AMOLED, 1.5K gaming display promise buttery-smooth 120 FPS gaming. A tall order, considering that not all mobile games can even reach that kind of performance.
On that note, here are some games that hit that magical 120 FPS:

Unsurprisingly, all of these games run beautifully on the Infinix GT 30 Pro. The GT series has always boasted top-notch performance in mobile gaming, and we expected nothing less for the GT 30. And while it’s not really a competition, particular shoutouts go to MLBB for being able to run at ultra-high FPS even at maxed-out graphics settings.
Even more remarkable is how long the Infinix GT 30 Pro can maintain that high level of performance. The GT 30’s battery life still had more than enough juice even after multiple hours of gaming at max settings. I could also feel the phone warming up as I was playing, but considering just how far I was pushing it, it’s impressive that it only got a bit warm.
Console-Level Control
Of course, the big deal about the Infinix GT 30 Pro is its GT Triggers. I’ve already sung all my praises for this new feature in my full review, but it’s really worth mentioning again.

By putting touch-sensitive “shoulder” buttons on the side of the phone, the GT 30 offers a new level of control and precision in your games. All it really does is add an alternative way to tap parts of the screen, but it’s such a game-changer in terms of comfort and accessibility. Playing mobile FPSs has always felt awkward and uncomfortable for me, but GT Triggers have completely eliminated that problem.
They’re also really quick to set up and modify according to the game you’re playing. It’s a simple and elegant feature, almost like they were always meant to be there. Even with all the power packed into the GT 30, it’s the GT Triggers that impress most of all.
