Here’s Where You Can Play Badminton in Metro Manila

By Annika Caniza - September 21, 2024

Looking for a badminton court you can hit any day of the week? Check out these great options in Metro Manila.

There’s a lot to love about badminton. It’s a fun racket sport that people of all ages and fitness levels can get into, it’s a great way to get a good calorie burn and stay in shape, and it can even improve cognitive function (it’s hard to deny how badminton puts one’s brain to work when keeping track of a fast-moving shuttlecock).

Like other racket sports, badminton definitely offers a lot of health benefits. But an added plus for Filipinos? It’s a sport that’s played indoors.

Whenever rainy season in Metro Manila hits, the weather can become pretty unpredictable at times. But even when your outdoor tennis session gets canceled or when a rain check is called on your weekend football game, you can still get your competitive spirit going at these courts.

Powerplay Badminton Center

Need a court somewhere up north? You can find Powerplay Badminton Center in Santa Mesa Heights in Quezon City.

This space has multiple courts that you can book, as well as shower and changing rooms. But what makes it a great option for players in Metro Manila is that it stays open until 11:00 PM on weeknights and Saturday nights. This means that even after a long day of work, you can still get a good hour or two in before heading home!

Smart Shot Badminton and Sports Center

Looking for a court in the Manila area that has even longer opening hours? Check out Smart Shot Badminton and Sports Center. Located in Malate, Manila, this sports center is open from 6:30 AM up until 12:00 midnight, which makes it a great option for either an early morning or late night session!

In addition, this space is also great if you’re looking for a solid badminton community. The Smart Shot Badminton and Sports Center has their own online group that you can check out where coaches offer training sessions and members of their community also gather to play together.

The Zone Sports Center

Need a court that’s close to the hustle and bustle of Makati? You can check out The Zone Sports Center located in Bel-Air Makati. This has become a popular spot for both badminton and pickleball players, especially given their quick and easy booking system. However, because of its prime location and the amount of players, you might need to book your courts early.

But another perk of this space is that they also offer memberships that give you additional benefits, like early booking with unlimited non-peak bookings!

Dragonsmash Badminton Center

Another option in the Makati area is the Dragonsmash Badminton Center located along Chino Roces Avenue. According to their wesbite, they have 12 available courts that you can easily book through their convenient booking system.

In addition, Dragonsmash also stays open all the way until midnight on weeknights, making it a great place to stop by after a long day of sitting on your workdesk.
