Rider Essentials: Motorbike Stores in Metro Manila You Need to Check Out

By Jinno Rufino - May 31, 2024
Finding the right gear might be a challenge, but these two stores in Metro Manila are great one-stop shops to check out.

So you’ve got your sportbike, taken lessons, and you’re ready to hit The Clark International Speedway or The Batangas Racing Circuit. Now, you need to get your bike track-ready and find the right gear, but with so many shop recommendations, it’s hard to know where to start.

Well, from one rider to another, here are two of the best motorbike stores to check out in Metro Manila!

MPH 2.0 Motorsports

MPH 2.0 Motorsports Inc. and MPH Lifestyle on Katipunan Avenue Extension might be just what you’re looking for. These two spots cover everything a motorcycle enthusiast could need. MPH 2.0 Motorsports has you covered with a wide range of racing parts and upgrades. They offer top-tier exhaust systems, suspension tuning (one of the owners even trained in Italy for this), and other essential racing components, ensuring your bike is ready for peak performance and safety.

If you’re more of an adventure or touring rider, they also have parts for you. I got myself Denali lights and a horn for my adventure bike, for extra safety while traveling long distances, and I was shocked that when they were installing the parts on my bike, one of the owners was there to oversee everything, now that’s service!

MPH Lifestyle, on the other hand, is your go-to for riding gear. Whether you need a one-piece leather suit for protection or adventure gear for rugged rides. You can check out their offerings from Furygan, a French brand known for high-quality gear, as well as Shark Helmets, both of which I personally use, for my track riding.

But what makes MPH 2.0 Motorsports and MPH Lifestyle stand out from other motorbike stores in Manila is their comprehensive approach. They offer a wide range of products and services, often surpassing what you might find in more specialized shops.

The founders — Albert Chong, Bernard Syching, Paolo Alabado, Vicente Sy, and Philippine Superbike Champion Lawrence Macalinao— are passionate motorcycle enthusiasts who ensure that everything they offer meets high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

Since opening in June 2021, MPH 2.0 Motorsports and MPH Lifestyle have been committed to making the riding experience better. Their goal is to help every customer have maximum fun on two wheels while staying safe. They are always improving and upgrading their offerings to push the limits of what’s possible in motorcycling. Whether you are on the track or riding around on the road less traveled, the last thing you want to worry about is, your bike, the guys at MPH make sure of that for you.

Motobox

Now if you’re more into the lifestyle of riding, with perhaps some offroad, Motobox in Taguig could be the place for you.

With tons of riding gear for scooters, dirt bikes, and road bikes, the shop offers a lot of great-looking apparel with awesome protection as well.

From helmets to jerseys from Troy Lee, to boots from Falco, and jackets by Segura, you can find some of the most stylish gear at the unassuming location. The shop is owned by riding couple Paolo and Trina Toral.

Paolo is an enduro rider, with a bike shop called Enduro Factory, while Trina is the president of a riding club called “Vespa Kikays” that gives you a hint, of what they sell in their store. The little compound also does have a great restaurant as well called Cafe Alibi, serving Japanese cuisine. It’s a great spot for tambikes in the city.

The riding community in the Philippines keeps getting bigger, and between these two outlets, the needs of pretty much all types of riders are covered!
