The new Asics films just dropped with one familiar face: Aby Maraño. The volleyball player lives up to the film’s slogan, Live Uplifted.
Earlier this year, Asics launched their newest campaign, Live Uplifted. The campaign reinforces the brand’s core belief of having “A Sound Mind in a Sound Body”, and in their first launch in March, they released a series of videos featuring personalities across North America.
Each individual shares their story of how running has impacted their life, and their unique experiences highlight how movement has uplifted their lives. Hence the campaign, #LiveUplifted.
And earlier this week, Asics released an extension of the campaign, now bringing Southeast Asian athletes to the spotlight.
If you watched the video, you’ll have noticed what caught our eyes too: Filipino volleyball player, Aby Maraño.
Aby living uplifted
Aby Maraño is one of our country’s best volleyball players. As a former DLSU Lady Eagle, not only was she a two-time UAAP champion—she was even named the UAAP’s Most Valuable Player for both her championship seasons.
Now with her current team, the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers, she has a tally of five champion trophies.
And clearly, she has no intention of stopping soon. In her edition of the Asics’ #LiveUplifted campaign, she describes how she lives uplifted through her sport.
As an Asics athlete, Aby Maraño sets a great example of the brand’s message: having a sound mind in a sound body. Not only is she physcially fit, but her mind is fit too. With it, she uses her active lifestyle as a way of refreshing her mind.
Now, she represents the Philippines as an Asics ambassador, and her hard work has gotten her there. With the brand as a platform, she can show her fellow Filipinos (along with the rest of the world) how movement can uplift our lives.
