CJ Oftana is moving from one win to another, coming hot off the heels of a PBA championship to celebrating the birth of his child.
Soon after winning his first-ever PBA Championship, basketball player Calvin “CJ” Oftana has yet another milestone to celebrate: the birth of his child, Khalel Thaddeus!
Earlier today, June 16, Oftana posted a photo of his newborn baby on his Instagram. “Khalel Thaddeus Novera Oftana, A perfect gift from above,” he wrote in the caption. “Welcome to the world our Leloy!”
The past few years have indeed been a whirlwind of memorable experiences for Oftana.
In 2021, the basketball player graduated from San Beda, where he won three NCAA championships from the Red Lions. Soon after, he was drafted into the PBA, where he now plays for the TNT Tropang Giga. And just earlier this year, he won his first PBA championship in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup.
To top it all off, CJ was also included in the 21-man Gilas pool ahead of the highly-anticipated FIBA World Cup going down later this year.
Momentum seems to be on the Filipino hooper’s side, and we’re excited to see where his journey takes him next.
