Tennis legend, fashion icon, and role model, Serena Williams had some big news to share with the world at fashion’s biggest event of the year.
Stealing the 2023 Met Gala headlines, the announcement was revealed: Serena Williams is pregnant!
“Was so excited when Anna Wintour invited the three of us to the Met Gala,” Williams wrote on her Instagram.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion showed up to the 2023 Met Gala with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, both confirming to the red carpet press that, indeed, Serena Williams is pregnant with her second child.
While she stunned the crowd at the event, this isn’t the first time that Serena Williams walked the red carpet with a baby on the way. When she was expecting her daughter Alexis, who was born in September 2017, she also attended the Met Gala showing off her baby bump.
At this year’s event, Williams showed up in a Gucci ensemble to honor this year’s Met Gala theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.
