Stars and Stripes: Hollywood A-Listers Light Up Paris Olympics

By The Game Team - July 29, 2024
From the biggest pop stars to the darlings of the internet, the Paris 2024 Olympics is bringing the world’s celebrities together.

As the City of Light shines brighter than ever, the Paris 2024 Olympics has become a magnet for the glitterati, drawing A-list celebrities from around the globe to witness sporting history in the making.

Here are some of the star-studded stands that are rivaling the athletes for attention, turning each event into a fusion of athletic prowess and Hollywood glamour.

Lady Gaga

At the Bercy Arena, the women’s artistic gymnastics qualification has become a hotspot for the celebrities watching the Paris Olympics.

Lady Gaga, fresh from her stirring performance of “Mon Truc En Plumes” at the opening ceremony, was spotted intently watching the gravity-defying routines. The pop icon, known for her own acrobatic stage performances, seemed particularly captivated by the balance beam competition, perhaps taking mental notes for her next tour.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

Not far from Gaga, power couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen made the gymnastics event a family affair, bringing along their son Miles. Legend, ever the music aficionado, was also seen with fellow musician Nick Jonas. Teigen, meanwhile, kept her social media followers entertained with witty commentary on the sparkly leotards and impossibly tight buns.

Tom Cruise

The star wattage at Bercy Arena reached critical mass with the arrival of Tom Cruise. The “Mission: Impossible” star, taking a break from his own high-flying stunts, was seen in a deep conversation with Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. One can only imagine the Olympic-themed blockbuster ideas being tossed around.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban

Over at the Place de la Concorde, the Paris Olympics women’s street skateboarding final drew its own constellation of celebrities. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban turned the event into a family outing as they were seen cheering and clapping whenever the skateboarders did impressive stunts.

Flavor Flav

The water polo arena in Saint-Denis also found an unexpected fan in Flavor Flav. The Public Enemy hype man traded his signature clock necklace for Team USA gear as he enthusiastically cheered on the American women in their match against Greece.

Serena Williams, Shaun White, and Nina Dobrev

Back at the opening ceremony, the banks of the Seine resembled a floating red carpet. Serena Williams, looking every inch the champion in Louis Vuitton, waved to the passing athletes’ boats. Nearby, Shaun White and Nina Dobrev sported matching Ralph Lauren ensembles with their Olympic spirit on full display.

Snoop Dogg, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo

The celebrity presence hasn’t been limited to spectating as Snoop Dogg also took part in the Olympic torch relay. His laid-back demeanor is a stark contrast to the momentous occasion. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo used their appearance to subtly promote their upcoming “Wicked” film with their color-coordinated outfits a nod to Elphaba and Glinda.

Emma Chamberlain

Social media sensation Emma Chamberlain has also been spotted mingling with athletes and documenting her experiences for her millions of followers to add a youthful energy to the Olympic Village.

With each passing day, new celebrities arrive, new stories unfold, and new memories are created, showing that the Paris Olympics is not just a showcase of athletic excellence, but a global celebration of human achievement watched and cheered on by some of the world’s most recognizable faces.
