This Is How Much Lionel Messi’s Patek Philippe Is Worth

Messi was spotted sporting a Patek Philippe Nautilus during his World Cup preparations, and this is how much it costs.

As one of the best football players of this generation, Lionel Messi is always under a microscope. But given that the 2022 FIFA World Cup is going to be his last World Cup appearance ever, the attention on him now is all the more highlighted.

So much so that we’re paying attention to every little detail about his tournament preparations. This includes the watch on his wrist.

Ahead of Argentina’s first World Cup match, Lionel Messi was spotted heading into training wearing a white-gold Patek Philippe Nautilus.

The Patek Philippe Nautilus is one of the most iconic and sought-after watches in the world. The first of its kind, the Nautilus 3700/1 was released in 1976. Its name was taken from the book, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Vergne, whose main character captains a ship called the Nautilus.

Over the years, the admiration for the design of the Patek Philippe Nautilus has not winnowed down. In fact, it has become all the more valuable over time. Now, many celebrities and athletes have a Nautilus in their watch collections—including football legend Lionel Messi.

A Patek Philippe Nautilus, depending on the style and material, the price can range from £24,700 to £92,380. This converts to around PHP 1,676,120 to PHP 6,268,830.

For the white-gold 5811/1G Nautilus that Messi appears to be sporting at the World Cup, its suggested retail price goes for PHP 3,687,500.

With PSG paying Lionel Messi €41 million per year (equivalent to around PHP 2,413,883,960), why wouldn’t he want to get one of the most iconic watches in the world?
