A new year means another round of the NBA family showing off their best looks as the 2024-2025 regular season starts to heat up.
Along with the increasing stakes of the 2024-2025 NBA regular season, a new year means we’ll get to see our favorite arena tunnels turn into runways again as players pull up in their best looks for their game days.
And as players welcome 2025 with their high fashion moments, here are some of those looks that definitely stood out on the NBA runway.
Jaylen Brown
You can never really go wrong with earth tones, as seen with Jaylen Brown’s Bottega Veneta pieces last January 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jaylen pulled up to Oklahoma City with a dark green Bottega leather shirt, along with a brown voyager bag. Bottega’s trademark intrecciato patterns also add texture to Jaylen’s look, making for a killer look that surely turned heads on both social media and Oklahoma City itself.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Oftentimes, an otherwise simple look can be elevated greatly by a statement piece. Whether it’s your finest jewelry or rarest sneakers, such additions can instantly turn your look into a head-turner.
And in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s case, it’s this leather jacket from the Major League Baseball’s 2008 All-Star Game held at the original Yankee Stadium in New York. Shai wore this piece against the Los Angeles Clippers last January 3 as he used it to top off an all-white ensemble.
From the looks of it, Shai’s jacket is also well-maintained for its age which adds another layer of aura to the look.
Jordan Clarkson
Jordan Clarkson showed some love to New York as his Utah Jazz took on the hometown Knicks on New Years’ Day at Madison Square Garden. Jordan’s look is highlighted by a red plaid jacket with the New York Yankees’ logo, which comes from Polo Ralph Lauren’s Major League Baseball collection.
JC topped off his look with some long and oversized beige shorts, coupled with a trusty pair of black loafers. Known for his bold fashion style, Jordan’s New Years 2025 outfit is just another example of how he goes beyond the stereotypes of men’s fashion.
Nickeil Alexander-Walker
Against the Detroit Pistons last January 5, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Nickeil Alexander-Walker showed love to their National Hockey League counterparts, the Minnesota Wild.
We spotted the Canadian guard rocking the Wild’s away jersey that features a white base that’s accentuated by the team’s green and red colors. It was complemented with some bright red pants that kind of took us back to the Christmas season if we’re being honest.
Cam Thomas
Cam Thomas’ look is topped off by his Ryoko Rain work jacket, which he wore last January 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks last January 2 at the Fiserv Forum. The statement piece features iconic horror film characters, including Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Freddy Kreuger from A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs to name a few that we noticed.
Given this, we’ll assume that the Brooklyn Nets guard enjoys watching classic horror flicks in his free time.
Paul George
It was likely a cold night in Brooklyn last January 5, which already makes Paul George’s outfit perfect for the road trip. But more than that, this is a good show of how building around denim pieces will always make for a stylish look.
Derrick Rose
This one’s kind of a bonus, but we’ll show some love to Derrick Rose’s pinstripe suit during the Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose Night held last January 5 at the United Center. It’s the perfect show of love for his hometown team, with D-Rose’s suit coming in the Bulls’ red and black team colors.
