Here are some of the looks that the San Miguel Beermen and Meralco Bolts pulled off in their PBA Philippine Cup Finals series.
Including the PBA, stadium tunnels now double as a runway for players to showcase their personal styles. It’s no different for the San Miguel-Meralco Philippine Cup Finals, where both sides showed up to the Araneta Coliseum in their best outfits.
Here are some of our favorite looks from the recent PBA finals series!
June Mar Fajardo
It’s hard not to include June Mar Fajardo’s Philippine Cup Finals outfit here. After all, the 10-time Best Player of the Conference wore a shirt that bears his “Kraken” nickname. That alone just guaranteed Abai a spot in our latest Tunnel Vision list.
Chris Newsome
Meralco’s Chris Newsome decided to keep it cool, wearing an Allen Iverson shirt, grey shorts, and NOCTA x Nike Prestos. Simple, but nonetheless a comfortable-looking outfit for one of the more fashion-forward players in the Philippine Cup Finals.
Chris Ross
Like Newsome, Chris Ross also manages to merge style and comfort into his look. Here, the defensive point is wearing a yellow (or green) hoodie paired with light grey Fear of God Essentials shorts and “White Oreo” Jordan 4s.
A Goyard duffle meanwhile, effectively becomes an accessory to complement Newsome’s overall fit.
Brandon Bates
Brandon Bates meanwhile, opted for earthy and neutral tones in his Philippine Cup Finals outfit. A brown polo shirt, some off-white pants, and New Balances with seemingly green soles do the job for the Fil-Aussie big man — yet another example of doing more with less.
CJ Perez
In contrast to his peers, CJ Perez wore a white long-sleeve Nike top, with some denim cargo pants. Alongside, are some gold chains and a Fendi shoulder bag which accentuates the look.
Simon Enciso
In another streetwear-inspired outfit, here’s Simon Enciso with a Michael Jordan bootleg shirt, light green bottoms, and the highly-coveted Travis Scott x Jordan 1 “Olive”.
Enciso also chose to accessorize with a silver chain necklace, some bracelets, and a total of three rings for this look. Subtle details yes, but they’re more than enough to elevate this look from the San Miguel Beerman.
Mo Tautuaa
The devil is in the details in Mo Tautuaa’s outfit. There’s his white shirt with a small yellow print that complements his short’s own yellow accents, alongside a hat that goes well with the same bottom’s green base.
While it may be hard to see, there’s the Fil-Tongan’s gold chain, and gold anklet braces which also blend well with his look. Overall, just a subtle show of coordination for this otherwise simple look from Mo Tautuaa.
Jericho Cruz
Like Newsome, Ross, and Tautuaa, Cruz seems to have also merged comfort and style into one with this Philippine Cup Finals outfit: a brown hoodie with a matching shirt and shorts topped off with “Reverse Mocha” Travis Scott x Jordan 1s.
And with the Travis Scott Jordans, Cruz subtly flexes a grail within his sneaker rotation similar to Enciso with his Olive Travis Scott Jordans, and Newsome with his NOCTA x Nike Prestos.
