The 2025 PVL Rookie Draft was a classy affair as each aspirant rocked their own take toward a black and white color scheme.

It was a night of new beginnings during the 2025 PVL Rookie Draft held at the Novotel Manila last Sunday, June 8.

Twenty-nine out of the 57 final applicants were drafted on Sunday night, all wearing elegant black and white outfits as they received their new colors, coming in the form of sashes from the PVL teams they will now represent in the professional ranks.

Here are some of our top looks from Sunday’s draft festivities, with each applicant trying their best to nail the PVL’s black and white theme.

Starting off our list is former DLSU Lady Spiker Julyanna Tolentino, who dazzled in a white gown as she was picked 11th by reigning PVL All-Filipino champions Petro Gazz Angels in Round 1.

Erin Pangilinan

At first glance, it seemed like National U captain Erin Pangilinan was one of many applicants who opted to wear a classic black blazer and trousers on draft night.

However, a further look actually reveals that Pangilinan wore a corset top beneath her blazer, which was on full display as she was picked sixth overall by the Cignal HD Spikers.

Alleiah Malaluan

PLDT’s tenth overall pick, Alleiah Malaluan, emerged as Sunday’s Star of the Night, and it’s easy to see why as she effortlessly rocked this custom gown by Filipino designer Francis Libiran.

A clean white dress, topped off with a beige blazer, was Sheena Toring’s outfit of choice as she brings her UAAP championship experience with NU to the Creamline Cool Smashers as the 12th overall pick.

Nica Celis

Last but not least is former UP captain Nica Celis, who looked every bit like a girlboss in her draft night outfit, headlined by an oversized blazer accompanied by some gold jewelry pieces for accessories.

Complemented by her natural charisma, Celis rocked this look effortlessly as she was picked 24th overall by Creamline in the draft proper.
