Here are some of the best sneakers in the San Miguel Beermen and TNT Tropang 5G’s promising PBA Philippine Cup Finals clash.
Along with a thrilling end to Game 1, the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup Finals between the TNT Tropang 5G and San Miguel Beermen has also seen its protagonists rock the hottest pairs within their sneaker rotations. From limited releases to well-received performance models, just about everything has been showcased on the Araneta Coliseum hardcourt.
With that being said, here are some of the top pairs we spotted in a battle of Dynasty and Destiny between TNT and San Miguel. Any pair catch your eye?
TNT Tropang 5G
RR Pogoy
RR Pogoy filled the Game 1 stat sheets in a pair of Kobe 4 “Mambacitas”, a colorway that paid tribute to Kobe Bryant’s late daughter, Gigi, on what would have been her 17th birthday on May 1 two years ago.
Calvin Oftana
Under the bright lights of the PBA Finals, Calvin Oftana opted to rock some “What The” Kobe 8s, which combine around 30 Kobe 8 colorways into one unique design.
Calvin’s Kobe 8s are regarded as one of Nike’s best designs in their “What The” sneaker line, so it’s only right that it’s part of his rotation in the Philippine Cup finals.
JP Erram
A longtime ANTA athlete, Poy Erram went for the KAI 1 “Moon” against the Beermen, which comes in a dark purple base, complemented with silver accents that celebrates the beautiful night skies.
Glenn Khobuntin
In some ways, Glenn Khobuntin’s KD18 “Smart City” sneakers match TNT’s dark uniforms, especially given its blue base and neon green accents that look similar to the Tropang 5G’s yellow colors in some angles.
Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser
In another ANTA Kai 1 sighting, here is returning big man Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser in the “Love” colorway, a vibrant red design that pays tribute to Kyrie Irving’s burning passion for the game of basketball.
Kim Aurin
For Kim Aurin, it’s a beloved pair of Sabrina 2s in the “Lily” colorway. Coming in a white base with pink and cement grey accents, the colorway is a poignant tribute to Sabrina Ionescu’s mother, Liliana.
Kelly Williams
After the Kobe 4 in 2023, Nike gave another birthday gift to Gigi Bryant through the Kobe 8 “Mambacita” in 2024 for her 18th birthday. In the PBA Finals, we spotted these on veteran Kelly Williams, who hopes to help TNT capture the elusive Grand Slam against the Beermen.

For his latest PBA Finals appearance, Brian Heruela opted to rock a pair of Kobe 6 in the “Dodgers” colorway that serves as a tribute to Kobe Bryant’s love for the Los Angeles Dodgers. As with most Nike Kobe releases, it’s another limited release that’s sure to get noticed by avid sneakerheads following the PBA finals.
San Miguel Beermen
Chris Ross
Jordan 11s have always been part of Chris Ross’ sneaker rotations, having rocked colorways such as the “Cherry” and “Bred” in his past PBA Finals appearances with the Beermen.
For this year’s Philippine Cup finals, we spotted the veteran Ross in the “Legend Blue” Jordan 11s, which he also wore in his vintage Game 7 performance against Ginebra in the conference semifinals.
CJ Perez
It was an all-Kobe affair for CJ Perez, who started Game 1 with the Kobe 6 “Total Orange”, before switching later on to the Kobe 6 “All-Star 2.0” to finish the series opener.
Worth noting, though, is that CJ opted for mismatched laces for his second pair of Kobe 6s, going for black and white laces to match the sneaker’s main color scheme.
June Mar Fajardo
“Abai” went for a mix of performance and aesthetics against TNT by rocking the KD 17s in the “Vivid Purple” colorway. It may not be a hyped release by any means, but the bright tones make sure that June Mar’s pair can still catch a set of eyes throughout the games.
Juami Tiongson
Playing in his first-ever PBA Finals, Juami Tiongson made his debut in the Peak AW (Andrew Wiggins) Talent-2 in the “Cheese Yellow” colorway, a vibrant pair that surely turned heads on the Araneta Coliseum hardcourt.
Mo Tautuaa
Mo Tautuaa went for the adidas AE1 Low from the Three Stripes’ Chinese New Year 2025 pack to open the Philippine Cup finals against TNT.
While retaining the AE1’s minimalistic design, the Chinese New Year colorway incorporates snakeskin-inspired details, along with a silky gradient-like details that gives the shoe a more vibrant feel.
Rodney Brondial
Coming in a soft orange base, here is Rodney Brondial in the Sabrina 2 “Apricot Agate”, a pastel-based colorway that also includes teal accents, and an iridiscent Swoosh to complete the look.
Marcio Lassiter
Sharpshooter Marcio Lassiter didn’t need to look far into his sneaker rotation as he rocked a “Lakers Home” variant from the Kobe 9 EM (Engineered Mesh) Team Bank pack that was released last June.
Kris Rosales
Last but not least is Kris Rosales, who rocked the lifestyle-oriented “Artist on Court” ANTA KAI 2s against the Tropang 5G. Given the rarity and limited release of the colorway, it’s a well-deserved flex for Rosales as he gets a chance to win a PBA championship with the Beermen.
