Tunnel Vision: Ranking Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s Outfits from the 2025 NBA Finals

By RJ Ballecer - June 23, 2025

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander continued to flex his killer style en route to winning his first-ever NBA championship.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was just as consistent on the runway as he was on the court throughout his first-ever NBA Finals appearance with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Throughout their seven-game series against the Indiana Pacers, Shai often arrived at the Paycom Center and Gainbridge Fieldhouse in killer looks, all highlighting his status as one of the NBA’s modern-day fashion icons.

The GAME now attempts to rank all of SGA’s 2025 NBA Finals outfits, which he rocked en route to winning his first career NBA championship and Finals Most Valuable Player award.

7. What are those? (Game 4)

It’s not too often that we see Shai miss the mark with a pre-game outfit, but this look right here should be one of, if not the best example of that.

In Game 4 against Indiana, SGA arrived in a white button-down dress shirt, which he paired with baggy denim jeans, and Masi Blue SHAI 001s. Accessories, such as silver jewelry, black shades, and a printed blue belt, meanwhile, complete the overall look.

Shai is no stranger to being experimental with his looks, but he may have gone overboard with his denim jeans, which are sagging too low for our liking. Sure, sagging is a known method of wearing bottoms, but it just doesn’t fit this look that the Finals MVP attempted to pull off.

Massive respect to his confidence, though.

6. Complementary tones (Game 3)

Shai kept it rather straightforward for Game 3 at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with a vibrant Carrhartt jacket matched with similarly colored jeans and tattered undershirt. While it’s a well-organized look, it’s rather “simple” especially given Shai’s experimental fashion tastes.

5. Back to the basics (Game 1)

As we close in on the top three, we’ll be placing Shai’s first-ever NBA finals look at fifth place, which was an all-grey outfit topped off with some Masi Blue SHAI 001s. Straightforward as it was, the look was classy enough as SGA arrived at the Paycom Center for Game 1.

4. First shot at the title (Game 6)

Right outside the top three is Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s all-Chrome Hearts ‘fit for Game 6, which includes a black-and-white varsity jacket, and baggy denim jeans filled with the brand’s iconic cross logo.

Given that Game 6 was a closeout game, Shai’s choice for a black-and-white outfit could have been intentional as he entered the Gainbridge Fieldhouse with his first-ever NBA championship in reach.

3. Imagine… (Game 2)

Rocking a custom John Lennon in New York shirt should already justify this look’s placing on the top three, which could have been higher if all the shades of blue were complementary with each other.

2. He means business (Game 5)

Game 5 saw OKC take a commanding 3-2 lead over Indiana, and Shai meant business entering that crucial contest. Ahead of his 31-point and 10-assist double-double, Shai pulled up in this well-coordinated, all-blue look headlined by his Louis Vuitton knitwear sweater.

A dress shirt plus necktie gives it the business casual feel, while baggy denim jeans and the Masi Blue SHAI 001s act as perfect complements to the dark blue knitwear sweater. Simply put, it’s a true show of fundamentals, mixed with SGA’s signature fashion-forward style.

In a true show of confidence, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander arrived in another closeout-worthy look for his first Finals Game 7, wearing in an oversized indigo jacket, and flare, black leather pants with an elusive Larry O’Brien trophy on the line.

The rather uneven proportions caused by the outfit adds to its overall appeal, which further highlights SGA’s bold, and sometimes experimental fashion sense.
