Jayson Tatum releases new Jordan Collection, JT1

New Kicks On the Block: Jayson Tatum Drops First Jordan JT1 Collection

Boston Celtics star and MVP contender Jayson Tatum has finally unveiled his highly-anticipated signature Jordan shoe: the JT1s. Are you copping a pair?

Jayson Tatum held nothing back at the 72nd NBA All-Star game earlier today. The Boston Celtics star player scored 55 points — the new NBA All-Star game record.

With this, he was rightfully named the Kobe Bryant All-Star Game MVP.

If you watched the All-Star game, or if you’ve seen the highlights, you may have detected something different about Jayson Tatum.

If you noticed an added spring to his step in Utah, it might be because he was sporting his brand new shoes from his signature Jordan line: the JT1s.

The JT1 in 4 ways

On the morning before the All-Star game, Jayson Tatum shared images of him and his family posing with his new JT1 collection on Instagram.

“Dreams do come true,” he wrote in his caption.

In 2019, Tatum had already signed with the Jordan brand as an ambassador. However, it was only in September 2022 that news of his first-ever signature collection with the brand was set to release.

Now, the Celtics star has finally been able to reveal and debut the brand-new JT1s at the NBA All-Star Game. Clearly, they served him well.

Following his announcement, Jordan released the four different colorways that the JT1 comes in — Zoo, St. Louis, Barbershop, and Pink Lemonade — each one, representing a different aspect of the player’s personal life.

Zoo‘ was inspired by Jayson Tatum’s trips to the St. Louis Zoo with his son Deuce. This is Tatum’s hometown, so it was only right for him to release a second version of the shoe named ‘St. Louis‘ too, following the old colorways of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Barber Shop‘ is an homage to the confidence that Tatum feels whenever he plays with a fresh haircut. And finally, ‘Pink Lemonade‘ was inspired by the Celtics’ star’s favorite drink.

At the NBA All-Star game today, Tatum sported both ‘Zoo’ and ‘Pink Lemonade’ showing them off to the crowd for the very first time.

According to reports, the first colorway, ‘Zoo,’ is set t release on April 7 later this year and will go for around $120. After this, the remaining styles will also be released in the following months.

Which colorway are you lining up for?
