Sibol Achieves a Bronze Finish in PUBG Mobile Individual on the Final Day of the 2023 SEA Games

Sibol’s bronze medal from the PUBG Mobile tournament brings the Philippines to its highest tally of medals in SEA Games esports.

The Philippines has added one more medal on the final day of the 2023 SEA Games Esports division, as Sibol’s PUBG Mobile team captured bronze in the individual category of the tournament!

While they were unable to make it to the podium in the teams category, Sibol’s Abdul “Monboy” Barode clashed with 58 other contenders and finished with 81 points after eight rounds of intense PUBG combat. This has earned him a bronze medal along with Vietnam.

With the final day of the SEA Games esports division coming to a close, the Philippines have won a total of six medals — this accounts for one medal in every event they participated in. In total, our country’s representatives accumulated two golds (Mobile Legends: men and Wild Rift), a silver (Mobile Legends: women), and three bronzes (Crossfire, PUBG Mobile: individual, and Valorant).

We can definitely say that this has been a successful run for the Philippines, proving our country’s strength in esports in the region.
