The Pinoys are looking unstoppable this MSC.
The 2023 MSC group stage is over and we have our top eight teams after four days of upsets and outplays.
Topping their groups are ECHO, Blacklist International, RSG Slate SG, and ONIC Esports. Next to them are Fire Flux Impunity, EVOS Legends, BURN x FLASH, and TODAK. This means that Team EVO, Fenix Esports, Outplay, and Team Occupy will be bowing out of the tournament.
Now comes the real test as the remaining teams head into the knockout stage. All matches will be single elimination, meaning that all teams only have one chance to lift the MSC trophy.
If there was one thing the 2023 MSC group stage has shown us it’s to expect the unexpected.
While ECHO and Blacklist dominated their games, their singular losses came from teams outplaying and surprising them with strategies they weren’t ready for. Fire Flux Impunity has also clearly established itself as a real contender. They soundly beat Team EVO 2-0 and handed ECHO their first game loss in the tournament.
We’ll have to wait and see how far this dark horse will go.
The knockout stages start on June 15. Check out their official Youtube and Twitch channels to catch the 2023 MSC action.
