3 Teams to Watch Out for in the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025

By Ramon Domingo - April 07, 2025

These teams are going to show that they can still dominate the international playing field.

The ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025 is upon us and it’s a quick taste of international competition right in the middle of the regular season. Taking place in Jakarta, Indonesia, 12 teams will fight for the right to raise the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025 trophy and the lion’s share of the 200,000 USD grand prize.

For some teams, this is their time to reset and reinvigorate themselves with a different kind of competition. For others, it’s a chance to prove that they’re still international contenders and that’s what the three teams we have here have in common.

ONIC Philippines

At a glance, ONIC Philippines are clear favorites to win the entire tournament. Not only are they the reigning world champions but they’re the Snapdragon S6 champions as well.

A closer inspection however will show that the Super Family might not be as untouchable as we thought. The team has had quite a few difficulties at the start of MPL PH S15. Yes, they’re coming into the tournament after a six-match winning streak but overall, they haven’t looked as clean and decisive as they used to.

ONIC Philippines might still be favorites to win ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025 but it’s on shaky ground. We’ll see if the world champions will be able to shape up and pull through.

Team Liquid ID

On the other hand, things are looking much more dire for Team Liquid ID. There was a lot of hope at the start of the season for the M6 grand finalists. They managed to get third in Snapdragon S6 and people expected to build up from there.

Unfortunately, Team Liquid ID are struggling to meet those expectations. They’re currently sitting at a 2-3 record in MPL ID S15 are playing like a shadow of themselves.

Now the hope lies in the team finding themselves again playing against international competition. Only time will tell if that will come true.

RRQ Hoshi

If there’s ever been a time for RRQ Hoshi to make a splash, it’s now. Currently, the prestigious Indonesian esports org is sitting undefeated in MPL ID S15 with a 5-0 match record.

Of course, this kind of showing is nothing new for RRQ. The real problem lies in how they can’t seem to show up when it comes to international events. They barely managed to squeeze into the ESL Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2025 by finishing sixth in Snapdragon S6. Their M6 run was lackluster and prior to that, RRQ had not made it to an international event since M4.

This time it could be different for the Kings of Kings. They hit the ground running this season and they could use that momentum to finally break their international curse.
