5 MLBB Mid Season Cup Teams You Should Watch Out For

By Ramon Domingo - July 22, 2025

Once again, the fighting is going to be fierce for that mythical one million USD jackpot.

The MLBB Mid Season Cup is upon us, and only one among the MSC 2025 teams will walk away with the trophy and the million-dollar grand prize.

The funny thing is, while the Philippines is the strongest MLBB region in the world, MSC is the one tournament that we haven’t won a trophy for in quite some time. With Team Liquid PH and ONIC Philippines looking better than ever, expectations are high. But that doesn’t mean the other teams are just going to stand by and give us the championship.

So, here are the five MSC 2025 teams that we think people should be watching out for this tournament.

Virtus.pro

We were just talking about them the other week, but Virtus.pro really has been impressing people this MSC. They’ve shown a level of play and cohesion that’s above the other Wildcard teams. That’s even more impressive considering that they’re playing with a substitute.

The MSC mainstage is the real deal, however, and despite a good Wildcards run, they are still the clear underdogs of the tournament. They did get one week to prepare, so we’ll see just how ready they are to challenge the big leagues.

Aurora Turkiye

This team has gone through many different name changes and acquisitions, but their roster has still stayed the same. Last MSC, they were Fire Flux Esports, in M6 they ULFHEDNAR, but it’s still the same Turkish Terminators that we’ve all come to know and, in some cases, fear.

Ahmet “Rosa” Batir and crew have always been able to knock down any team on a good day. This time though, they’re getting some special help from their Philippine squad. Coaches Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani and Dexter “Dex Star” Alaba are coming in to whip the team into shape. Two of the most decorated coaches in MPL PH are about to make their mark in Riyadh, and we’ll see how the other MSC 2025 teams adapt to this challenge.

ONIC Indonesia

It’s odd talking about ONIC Indonesia this way as they’ve always been a powerhouse team. They are a previous MSC champion and they’re the current MPL ID champions. However, they did go through some difficulties, and the Philippine squad has taken the spotlight as the reigning world champions.

Now this MSC is ONIC Indonesia’s chance to remind everyone who the real kings of MLBB are, and they’re not going to let their sister team get in their way.

AREA 77

This one’s mostly a curiosity as AREA 77 weren’t even supposed to be part of the MSC 2025 teams in the first place. They were called in to replace S8UL Esports after they were disqualified from the tournament. Now we have a team of unknowns playing in one of the biggest MLBB international tournaments of the year.

Are they going to get decimated? Most likely. But, you should never count out the possibility that they can pull an upset, especially to a tournament favorite.

SRG.OG

And of course, we can’t talk about the MSC 2025 teams without talking about the defending MSC champions. SRG.OG formally put Malaysia as a world-class contender after taking the championship from Falcons AP.Bren last year. This is their opportunity to prove that it wasn’t just a fluke, and we can be sure that they’ll be fighting fiercely to defend their title.
