Get ready for the first major Valorant Champions Tour tournament of the year.
Masters Madrid is almost here and we’ve got all the details on the teams and schedule right here. From March 14 to 24, eight teams from around the world will converge in Madrid, Spain to see who will become the year’s first Masters champion.
Each team is drawn from the top two performers in their respective regional Kickoff tournaments:
- VCT Americas
- Sentinels
- LOUD
- VCT Pacific
- Gen.G
- Paper Rex
- VCT EMEA
- Karmine Corp
- Team Heretics
- VCT China
- Edward Gaming
- Funplus Phoenix
Starting things off will be the Swiss Stage, which will cut down the eight teams to the top four. Each team will be drawn into four best-of-three matches where they’re racing to secure two match victories before getting two losses.
From there it’s a traditional double elimination Bracket Stage. The remaining four teams will be randomly paired up and start on the upper bracket. Matches will still be best-of-three until the lower and grand finals, where both will be a best-of-five.
Teams will need to adapt quickly thanks to the Masters Madrid schedule. Every match matters, making it 10 days packed with drama and action.

Teams To Watch Out For
Sentinels are coming in hot after taking VCT Americas’ Kickoff tournament. The storied organization had a disappointing 2023 and are back with a vengeance thanks to their revitalized roster. LOUD are no slouches as well as they continue to be the pride of Brazilian Valorant.
Gen.G shocked the Pacific when they handedly took down the 2023 Champions runner-ups Paper Rex. They’ve shown massive improvement but will it be enough for their first international tournament in over a year?
Edward Gaming continues to be the powerhouse of the Chinese region. The explosive squad garnered many international fans in 2023 despite their rather lackluster finishes in international tournaments. With the team remaining intact this year, they might finally have that winning synergy that could propel them to becoming the Masters Madrid champions.
