The Predator League continues its work of showing off some of the best teams in SEA.
Predator Gaming kickstarts a whole new year of competitive esports with the conclusion of APAC Predator League 2025. Held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, last weekend, this is its second year holding tournaments for both Valorant and Dota 2.
For Valorant, Indonesia’s Alter Ego were able to take the championship from the Philippines’ ZOL Esports. Indonesia weren’t as lucky for Dota 2 as Malaysia’s Myth Avenue Gaming triumphed over Team Helios. Both teams won with 2-0 sweeps, making it a relatively quick grand finals for the APAC Predator League 2025.
There was a fair amount of hype coming into this tournament as the Philippines were champions for both titles. Team Secret were returning to defend their title in Valorant while Blacklist International were unfortunately unable to make it to defend theirs in Dota 2. Execration did make it back for another shot at the Predator League trophy after last year’s second place finish.

The bad news however was that both Team Secret and Execration would fail to repeat their previous year’s performance. Both teams bombed out in the group stages but this allowed other teams to shine. ZOL esports in particular has continued to impress despite still being considered an amateur Valorant team. They’ve been at the cusp of making it to the big leagues and this looks like another stepping stone on their journey to the top.
Myth Avenue Gaming on the other hand had a convincingly dominant performance throughout the APAC Predator League 2025. With the team composed of players from Malaysia, Philippines, and Vietnam, they showed an adaptability that’s missing in other teams.
With this year concluded, the Predator League is now on its way to India for 2026. It’s anyone’s guess which teams will shine next year.
