By The Game Team - March 04, 2024
“4:00 PM na, MPL na!” has a real nice ring to it.

The Mobile Legends Professional League – Philippines (MPL PH) is back with a new schedule for season 13. Starting March 15, all matches will begin at 4 pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at the Shooting Gallery Studios, Makati City.

Eight franchise teams will challenge each other for spots in the upcoming Mid-Season Cup 2024. This will be the biggest MSC yet and will be hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“MPL Philippines Season 13 will serve as the arena for the Philippine teams to once again prove their dominance in the world of MLBB esports. This season, we are challenged to recognize what winning is truly all about and uncover the various versions of victory for each member of the MLBB community,” says Bai Zhou Ning, Moonton Games Philippines Esports Head.

Starting March 4, fans can purchase their Regular Season tickets from ticketing partner Slash. Ticket price starts at PHP 200, giving fans access to all the matches of the day. Match schedules can be found on the MPL Philippines Facebook page.

Meanwhile, the league will launch various online and on-ground activities for this season such as WINSTREAK. This is a five-part video series aiming to share MPL PH-approved tips-and-tricks that’ll improve a casual player’s in-game skills. There will also be the weekly Super Star Match which will be announced every Wednesday. In-game codes will appear during the Super Star Match which can be redeemed for various in-game items.

This season, Smart Communications, Inc. continues its partnership with MPL Philippines as the league’s official telco partner. Infinix has also signed a long-term deal with MPL PH, a schedule that covers four consecutive seasons starting season 13, with the Infinix GT10 Pro as the official tournament phone for season 13.

While the MPL PH season 13 starts on a new schedule, the Mobile Legends Development League (MDL) Philippines begins its third season on March 12. All Regular Season matches start from 3 pm on Tuesday, Thursday, and Wednesday, and will run until April 25.

This season’s participating teams are Blacklist Academy Rough Era (BLRW), ECHO Proud (ECHO), RSG El Ganador (RELG), AP.Bren Xia (APBX), ONIC Arsenals (ONIC), Smart Omega Neos (OMGN), TNC Z4 (TNZ4), Minana Archives (MNNA), GameLab x Desolators (GLAD), and RRQ Kaito (RRQ). Each team is competing to take home the biggest share of the prize pool worth 20,000 USD.

Among the major upgrades this season is the implementation of the Global Ban System. This system allows each team to use a particular hero only once during the series. This means that the hero, once used by a player in the team, cannot be used again in the same series by the same team. However, the opposing team can still choose to pick and use that hero, provided they haven’t used it.

Moreover, the league will hold its Playoffs Season offline, for the first time, bringing the tournament to the big stage.
