This is Gaimin Gladiators’ fourth major international tournament win in a row.
It has been a year of conquest for the Western Europe team as Gaimin Gladiators have once again been crowned the champions of DreamLeague season 20. They previously won DreamLeague season 19 earlier this year making them back-to-back champions.
Gaimin Gladiator’s playoff run started at the lower bracket, beating SEA’s Talon Esports and then taking down China’s PSG.LGD in the lower finals. They triumphed over Eastern Europe’s BetBoom Team in a full five-game grand final, proving to everyone that they earned their DreamLeague championship win.
With Gaimin Gladiator’s win, BetBoom gets the second direct invite to Riyadh Masters. Joining them will be Talon and Team Spirit thanks to their average performance throughout this year’s DreamLeague tournaments.
The Gladiators have now won four of the seven major international Dota2 tournaments slated for this year. All eyes will be on them as they march towards the Bali Major, then Riyadh Masters, and finally The International.
