The premier amateur league tournament from realme crowns a new team eager to prove their mettle.
After a long journey, Gamerpact Esports stands triumphant as they take the RMC season 8 championship. They triumphed over rivals Minerva Esports 3-1 in front of a live crowd at the Glorietta 4 Activity Center in Makati City.
The realme Mobile Legends Cup (RMC) has been a staple tournament among amateur MLBB teams for years. With great rewards attracting the fiercest competition, many aspiring pro players and teams look to the RMC as the ultimate test of their abilities.
Gamerpact Esports fought their way past 135 other entrants in the online qualifiers to make it to the grand finals. Meanwhile, Minerva Esports triumphed over 20 other teams during the on-ground qualifiers last May, earning them a spot at the quarter finals.
Both teams distinguished themselves all throughout the tournament. But in the end it would be Gamerpact taking the RMC season 8 trophy. Together with the trophy, the team takes home Php500,000 along with a realme GT 6 for each member. Gamerpact’s Jungler Aezu won the title of grand finals MVP, granting him an additional Php100,000.
For Minerva Esports, they take Php200,000 and a realme 12 Pro+ 5G for each player as first runner-up. Ire Esports and Gamerpact Ascend took Php50,000 as second and third runner up respectively.
An All-Star Event
There was also more for MLBB fans to enjoy at the RMC grand finals. First, there was a showmatch between reigning world champions Falcons AP.Bren and realme’s Team All-Stars, featuring the talents of H2wo, Ch4knu, Benthings, Oheb, and Wise.
Then, to celebrate Gamerpact’s RMC season 8 victory, special guest performer Al James capped off the tournament with a live performance right at the Glorietta 4 Activity Center.
