The young EXP Laner only has eyes for the MSC championship this year.
Liquid ECHO and their EXP Laner Sanford Vinuya are out to remind everyone in MSC 2024 why they’re a team to be feared. They missed out on the M5 World Championship and finished third in last year’s Mid Season Cup. This cast some doubt on the strength of the team so now they’re out to prove themselves in the eyes of MLBB fans.
“Ok naman sa amin yung third place pero feel ko na kulang pa yung pinakita namin,” said Sanford. “This time ire-redeem namin ang sarili namin at ipakita sa lahat na kaya namin magka-champion.”
The EXP Laner has been an integral part of Liquid ECHO’s success in the past. He knows more than anyone what Liquid ECHO lacked and what they need to improve to become champions again.
“[Last year], kulang pa yung chemistry namin. Hindi pa kami open sa isa’t-isa and madami rin yung mga ibang problems. Ngayon, dine-develop namin ang sarili namin as players kung saan makikita namin agad ano kailangan namin i-improve.”
A Fated Showdown Between Rivals?
They’ve already shown the initial fruits of their labors by winning the MPL PH S13 in convincing fashion. It’s no small feat to beat the reigning champions Falcons AP.Bren in a 4-0 sweep. Now, as the champions of the Philippines, many are eagerly awaiting for their possible clash with Indonesia’s champions, Fnatic ONIC.
It’s a rivalry as old as MLBB esports but Sanford isn’t too worried about possibly facing the Indonesian champs. “Feel namin na kailangan lang namin aralan sila ng maige at wag ma-intimidate pag kalaban namin sila,” he says nonchalantly. “Sa tiningin namin, mas malakas pa rin si Falcons AP.Bren kasi sila yung nanalo nung M5.”
Those are oddly encouraging words for a team they trounced not that long ago. But Liquid ECHO and Sanford have the MSC 2024 trophy in their sights and they know that they’ll be facing down the Hive to get to it. “Gusto namin ipakita na mas-angat kami na org, hindi lang sa name but sa laro din. At gusto pa rin namin matapat si Falcons AP.Bren sa grand finals kasi gusto namin ma-remake yung PH versus PH grand finals.”
