It’d be another feather in the already impressive cap of the four-time M-series attendee.
When it comes to consistency on the biggest MLBB stage in the world, few can match the prowess of Aurora Edward Dapadap. Soft-spoken yet hard-hitting, Edward is the only Filipino player to appear on the M-series stage four times in a row. The first three were with Blacklist International but now he’s setting his sights on winning the M6 trophy for Aurora.
“Same goal pa rin ako para sa akin and for the team,” said Aurora Edward. “Gusto ko bigyan ng championship yung Aurora kasi bagong org sila. Kung mabibigyan ko sila ng championship, parang magandang credit yun kasi dalawang team yung napa-champion ko. Para sa sarili ko naman, dagdag achievement para maging GOAT.”

Edward definitely deserves to be in GOAT contention considering his star-studded career. He’s already been inducted into the MPL Philippines’ Hall of Legends and has regularly had podium finishes in whatever tournament or league he joins. His fourth M-series appearance is also a big testament to his skill but Edward just takes it all in stride.
“Hindi ko masyadong iniisip yun. Just go with the flow talaga ako,” said Aurora Edward, unfazed by the pressure of being one of the best MLBB players in the Philippines. “Actually, nalaman ko lang na four consecutive times ako naka M-series nung naka-qualify kami sa MPL PH S14 grand finals.”
Down But Not Out
As for whether his experience will be the difference maker for Aurora this M6, Edward could only sheepishly laugh. “Siguro, pero puro talo kami eh!”
It’s true, Aurora is not in a good spot right now as they’re currently 1-2 in the Swiss stage. Edward believes this is due to the volatile nature of the format, which can be dangerous for both favorites and dark horse teams. “Para siyang lasunan na format kumbaga kung natalo ka, hindi ka nakaka-adjust. Di tulad ng mga best-of-three format na puwede ka mag-adjust agad.”
Still, Edward believes that he and Aurora have got what it takes to right the ship in time. They’re not out of M6 yet and with nothing to lose, this team might be one of the most dangerous teams in the tournament.
