Mobile Legends Celebrates Seven Years in the Philippines by Aiding Pasig River

By Ramon Domingo - October 09, 2023
Mobile Legends gives back to the community to commemorate seven legendary years.

It was a night of fun and games as Mobile Legends celebrated their 7th anniversary going live in the Philippines. Dubbed “MLBB Ann7versaya,” the weeks-long buildup concluded with a massive celebration at the Filipino-Chinese Friendship Park, Binondo, Manila.

In the spirit of Filipino birthday parties, ML had in-game rewards for anyone up to play some Pinoy games. Popular ML content creators OKATA, HYPEBITS, Nics Orense, JAYAT Gaming, and Shyr Balagtas were present for the festivities as well.

Giving Back to the Community

The true heart of the event, however, was the launch of MLs’ CSR campaign in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). During the event, a boat along the river revealed Mobile Legends’ presence to the community: plants for the Pasig River. Hundreds of Water Hyacinth, Vetiver, Areca Palm, Boston Fern, and Dracaena were turned over to the DENR with the goal of improving the quality of the Pasig River and instill in the minds of Filipino gamers a sense of responsibility to take care of our natural resources.

“MLBB Ann7versaya is our way of celebrating our seventh year in the Philippines by giving back to the community. We hope to remind our Filipino gamers that they can be heroes in-game or in the real world, by taking small steps in taking care of our environment,” says Chai Gutierrez, Moonton Games Marketing Manager for Gaming.

“We’re so pleased and excited to be working with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Philippines in building a community that promotes social interaction and responsibility,” says DENR Public Relations Officer Raphael Torres.

This is only the beginning for Mobile Legends as they are looking to do more projects beyond their 7th anniversary. It’s their way of giving back to the passionate Filipino community who have supported them throughout their seven years.
