Only one challenger will earn the right to play in next year’s VCT Pacific league.
The fighting will be fierce in Bangkok, Thailand, as NAOS Esports enters the VCT Ascension Pacific hungry for their own spot in the international league.
The back-to-back Philippine Challenger League Champions will be facing the nine other regional Challenger champions for that very same spot. These are the competing teams:
- Bleed eSports (Malaysia)
- Bonkers (Australia)
- BOOM Esports (Indonesia)
- Dplus KIA (Korea)
- Fancy United Esports (Vietnam)
- NAOS Esports (Philippines)
- ONE Team (Taiwan)
- Orangutan (India)
- SCARZ (Japan)
- XERXIA (Thailand)
The group stage will see the 10 teams divided into two groups of five, and teams in their own groups will play against each other in a best-of-three, single round-robin. The top three teams in each group will move on to the playoffs with the top placers in each group heading directly to the semifinals.
Playoffs will be a best-of-three, single elimination bracket until the grand finals. There the last two teams will battle it out in a best-of-five to see who will ascend to the international stage and compete in next year’s VCT Pacific.
