Hope springs eternal for the Bagong Barangay.
Omega’s Hadji and crew may not have finished the second half of MPL PH S16 with the best score, but their determination is still holding strong.
They’ve been able to punch above their weight and put up a fight against the top teams in the league. They’ve gotten close to inching out a victory, but veteran Mid Laner Salic “Hadji” Imam knows that almost isn’t enough.
“Yung plano namin sa early game, hindi namin siya nae-execute,” said Omega’s Hadji. “Feeling ko kaya namin talaga pero marami talaga yung mga what if’s na nangyayari.”
Sometimes it’s missed opportunities and unforced errors, other times proactive plays and solid map movements. Inconsistency plagues Omega, but one thing’s for sure: they’ve always kept their matches competitive.

“Nakakasabay kami sa top teams so feel ko sa next matches namin malaking potential manalo,” said Omega’s Hadji. He and his team’s hopes are still high because, despite their low placement in the standings, they know that they’re close to unlocking their potential. Plus, if they can take some key wins away from the teams above them, they could fly up the standings.
And the thing that’s really keeping their hopes up is their trust in each other. Even during the losses, the team environment is still lively and energetic.
“May tiwala pa rin kami sa isa’t-isa. Tsaka yung mga games namin hindi naman kami sobrang nabubugbog kaya hindi kami down masyado,” said Omega’s Hadji with a laugh. If they’re able to still joke around even with their current standing, then there’s really hope for them to move up in the future.
