ONIC Win Second Tourney in a Row at the Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Finals

The Hedgehogs keep riding that momentum from one victory to another.

Jakarta erupted with energy last weekend as ONIC Esports become the 2023 Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Finals champions.

The playoffs were truly stacked as the tournament comprised three Filipino teams, two Indonesians, and one from Malaysia — the top three regions in Mobile Legends esports. The odds were looking good for the Pinoys but ONIC and Bigetron Alpha truly performed above and beyond thanks to the hometown crowd.

ONIC had a straightforward path, beating both Malaysia’s Red Giant Esports and RSG Philippines 2-0. Then they got challenged hard by AP.Bren in the upper bracket finals but the Hedgehogs would get the better of them in a full best-of-five series.

Bigetron Alpha was sent to the lower bracket early on by ECHO but they came charging back with a vengeance. The MPL ID third placers dug deep and proceeded to knock each Filipino team out of the tournament in consecutive order. They took down RSG Philippines and got their revenge on ECHO in a 2-0 fashion. AP.Bren fared no better as they were swept 3-0 by Bigetron, which led to an all-Indonesian grand final.

Unfortunately, it looked like Bigetron ran out of steam in the end as they would get swept themselves by ONIC. ONIC would take the trophy in a clean 4-0 finish, winning their second international Mobile Legends tournament in a row.
