The M6 world champions just keep rolling over all who get in their way.
Malaysia once again witnessed the extension of the Philippine era in MLBB as ONIC PH were crowned the Snapdragon S6 Champions!
The Sonics raised the Snapdragon trophy in the packed Persada Johor International Convention Center after sweeping sister team ONIC ID.
While ONIC PH were seen as favorites to become the Snapdragon S6 champions, their path was by no means a clear one. They faced stiff competition with M6 grand finalists Team Liquid ID, the rising Selangor Red Giants, and last year’s Snapdragon champions Team Falcons participating in the tournament.

Things looked good in the group stage until the team got a bit of a scare on the last day. Team Liquid ID got their revenge for M6 and swept ONIC PH in dominant fashion. While by no means conclusive, it did raise the question of where the power levels lie between the teams.
The playoffs, however, were a different matter. Aside from suffering one game loss against Indonesia’s RRQ Hoshi, ONIC PH had a near-flawless record. They would sweep Team Falcons and Team Liquid ID with a 2-0 and 3-0, respectively. This would lead to a fateful clash with their Indonesian sister team in the grand finals.
While ONIC ID did knock out the previous champions Team Falcons and had a nail-biter of a series against Team Liquid ID in the lower bracket, the momentum they gained was just not enough. ONIC PH would make quick work of their Indonesian counterparts, becoming the Snapdragon S6 champions after a decisive 4-0 sweep.
