Team Falcons Coach Trebor On Adapting to the Role of A Head Coach

By Ramon Domingo - March 12, 2025

It’s a similar role with new responsibilities and it’s a role that coach Trebor has to live up to.

Team Falcons coach Trebor has a lot on his shoulders this MPL PH S15 now that he’s taking on the role of head coach for the new organization.

Robert “Trebor” Sanchez has been a technical and assistant coach for most of his career but now it’s different. He’s looking at more than just the game now, and that’s something he’s still getting used to.

At the very least coach Trebor’s had a very good mentor and role model to learn from. He looked towards the lessons and examples of coach Francis “Ducky” Glindro back when they were working together in AP.Bren.

And considering that coach Ducky has two world championships and a SEA Games gold medal under his belt, there’s really no better role model for a coach.

Sobrang malaking factor yung mga bagay na [ginawa ni coach Ducky],” said Falcons coach Trebor. “As a head coach, dapat kaya mo gawin yon sa team mo.”

Looking forward, coach Trebor also has the challenge of other teams to consider. Obviously, he’s eyeing the reigning world champions, ONIC Philippines, but he believes Aurora Gaming are a real contender as well.

Nabubuo na yung chemistry nila. Kasi kahit natatalo sila sa tournament, mas lalo sila sabik maglaro. Tingin ko ready na talaga sila this season.”
