The MSC 2025 champs are locking in for the possibly the biggest playoffs in MPL PH history.
It was a bumpy season 16 for Team Liquid‘s coach Tictac and crew but they’re still entering the playoffs as a dangerous third seed.
The race for second was incredibly tight between them and ONIC PH. Yet it was the resurging Team Falcons that would stamp their ticket to Cuneta Astrodome by defeating Team Liquid and consequently knocking the Cavalry all-but-out of upper bracket contention.
Coach Harold “Tictac” Reyes was disappointed at the outcome but he had to commend the Falcons. Their tenacity allowed them to make history as the first team to qualify for playoffs after dropping to eighth place.
“Yung mentality nila solid talaga,” said Team Liquid’s coach Tictac. “Sabi ko nga na dapat ma-expect natin yung Falcons magiging super play-safe or super aggressive. All-in na talaga kahit anong mangyari.”

That’s not to say that Team Liquid were expecting to walk over the once last place team. Coach Ticatac said that they were also in an all-in mentality as their upper bracket hopes were on the line. But the same lapses in judgement and control that’ve plagued them all season reared their heads in that critical match, giving Team Falcons the victory.
At least Team Liquid don’t have to wait long to get their revenge. Due to their seeding, they face the Falcons again on the first day of playoffs. This time the stakes are higher as the loser is out so it’s another all-in, all-out brawl between these two.
“Siguro kailangan pa namin i-work yung disiplina pa rin,” said Team Liquid’s coach Tictac when asked about what they need to prepare for playoffs. “Ang nangyayari is may time na matatapos namin yung game pero nagkulang kami sa disiplina. Madali naman yon, usap-usap lang sa mga players. Tapos mag-aaral din kami ng mga team compositions para marami yung mailalabas namin for playoffs.”
