It’s a breath of fresh air for the Filipino Sniper.
The Cavalry is entering MPL PH S15 with some big guns on their side and Team Liquid Oheb is already looking like a perfect fit.
After a heartbreaking end to his run with Blacklist International last year, many wondered what’s next for Kiel “Oheb” Soriano. Even more so after everyone heard the news of Blacklist leaving the MPL.
It’s no surprise that a squad like Team Liquid would pick up Oheb. Few Gold Laners have a similar skill to the Filipino Sniper. What’s actually, yet pleasantly, surprising was how quickly the team took him in.
“Pagpasok ko, parang feeling ko na nag fit in ako sa team,” said Team Liquid Oheb. “Kinakauspa nila ako, sila mismo yung naga-approach sa akin. Kahit sa laro sinasabi nila kung may mali ako tapos chini-cheer up nila ako. Nagulat nga ako nung nag tryout ako sa team, parang naglalaro sila around sa akin. Hindi nila pinaparamdam na dapat ako yung mag change para sa kanila.”
That’s all good news for both Oheb and Team Liquid had rough seasons last year. Oheb in particular looked like the 2024 season with Blacklist was really taking its toll on him. With Team Liquid, however, it looks like he’s got a lot of weight off his shoulders. The squad is really vibing well together, but Oheb’s heart is still with the Codebreakers.
“Siyempre, kung tatanungin mo ako kung saan ako mas comfortable, sasabihin ko Blacklist. Kasi kahit anong bagay pwede kong gawin doon, hindi ako hinihigpitan. Pero umalis nga ako kasi gusto ko umalis sa comfort zone ko.”
For Team Liquid Oheb, he knows he needs to push himself if he wants to challenge the best MLBB players in the world again and Team Liquid is exactly the team that’ll give him that push.
“Sa tingin ko, hindi ko malalabas yung talagang kaya ko pag nandun pa rin ako sa comfort zone ko. Pinli ko yung Team Liquid kasi tingin ko lalakas ako pag naging kakampi ko sila.”
