After a three-year drought, the MSC trophy has made its way back to Philippine soil.
It took a while, but the MSC trophy is finally back home as Team Liquid PH triumph SRG.OG to become the MSC 2025 champions. It was a true clash of titans but the former champions from Malaysia couldn’t hold back the Cavalry.
Team Liquid started the tournament strong, clearing out Egypt’s Ultra Legends and Indonesia’s ONIC in the group stage. SRG.OG however stumbled against Myanmar’s Mythic SEAL but quickly recovered after 2-0’ing Cambodia’s CFO Gaming.
Despite their different paths to playoffs, Team Liquid and SRG.OG both showed a level of adaptability and discipline that made them clear favorites to become the MSC 2025 champions. This was clearly shown when both teams defeated both ONIC Indonesia and ONIC Philippines in the semifinals. While ONIC’s sister teams would battle it out for third, the top seeds of both Philippines and Malaysia were locked in for an epic grand finals showdown.
SRG.OG drew first blood with a convincing game one win, but that was just prep time for Team Liquid. They were locked in for game two onwards as SRG.OG could no longer find a hole in their play. Team Liquid would overwhelm their Malaysian rivals, taking the series 4-1 to become the MSC 2025 champions.
A Tournament of Milestones and Surprises
With this victory, Team Liquid’s Jungler Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno has finally completed his collection of major MLBB championships. Now that he has a MPL, MSC, and M-series trophy under his belt, he’s proving more and more that he’s the undisputed GOAT of MLBB.

ONIC Philippines’ star Gold Laner Grant “Kelra” Pillas also achieved a record breaking 300+ kills in MSC. A stunning amount considering that he’s appeared on the MSC stage three times.
The competition has also never been fiercer with Virtus.pro from the CIS turning heads in the Wildcard. Japan’s Zeta Division impressed as well considering the region has been out of the competitive scene since 2021. And Aurora Turkey and Team Secret continue to prove that they’re dangerous underdogs who are only one step away from achieving greatness.

“This edition of MSC is the result of years we’ve spent nurturing the ecosystem,” said Tiger Xu, Global Head of Esports at MOONTON Games. “For all of us at MOONTON Games, it’s a reflection of how far the scene has come. MLBB Esports has become a platform where athletes have the power to change the face of history. Over the years, we’ve seen our athletes rise above expectations and push the limits of what’s possible. That’s the power of a global esports ecosystem—one that continuously shapes the future of esports!”
