With just one roster change, the Young GOAT is more motivated than ever to compete.
Team Liquid KarlTzy and the rest of his squad look refreshed and are back to their championship-winning form this MPL PH S15.
Despite the talent in their lineup, Karl “KarlTzy” Nepomuceno and the rest of Team Liquid have had some lackluster results. It seemed like the team was in a slump until the inclusion of star Gold Laner Kiel “Oheb” O.Soriano. Since then, the team has been on a tear as they’ve gone undefeated in matches in the first two weeks.
When asked what makes Oheb such a good fit for the team, Team Liquid KarlTzy says it mostly has to do with the things that happen outside of the game. “Naglalaro kami ng ibang games tapos open din siya maki pagloko sa amin, yung magasaran. Dun nagi-improve yung chemistry namin.”
It’s this chemistry that Team Liquid KarlTzy feels the team lacked in previous seasons. With Oheb’s inclusion, the team seems to have found their groove again and is ready to take on the MPL.
“Sobrang fit niya talaga. Tapos sa bonding namin goods-na-goods talaga lahat kami. Parang yun lang talaga kailangan.”
And beyond his team, KarlTzy says that he has the people closest to him to help keep him motivated season after season.
“Lalo na yung girlfriend ko, yung pamilya ko, sila talaga yung nagpu-push sa akin kung tinatamad ako,” said KarlTzy. “Minsan gusto ko lang mag stream pero sabi nila na ‘wag mo sayangin yung opportunity hanggang kaya mo pa.’ So yun yung nagiging motivation ko.”
