The M6 Wild Card Teams are Ready to Roll

By Ramon Domingo - November 13, 2024

For some teams it’s a second chance, for others it’s their one shot at glory.

Twenty-three of the best MLBB teams in the world have gathered in Malaysia but for the eight M6 Wild Card teams, their journeys start sooner. For these developing region teams, this is their one chance to play on the biggest MLBB stage in the world.

Starting November 21, these eight teams will be split into two groups and will play a single round robin best-of-three. The top team from each group will then face each other in the decider match. Here it’s only one best-of-five that separates the victor from the M6 World Championship stage.

Some of these teams are familiar faces on the international MLBB stage. Brazil’s RRQ Akira and Laos’ Nightmare Esports are making another appearance in the M series. Fire Flux Esports roster is also returning to M6 but under a new team. The dangerous dark horses from Turkey are now under ULFHEDNAR and are looking to be just as deadly as they were last year.

For most of these teams, the M6 Wild Card tournament is their second shot of making the mainstage. They’re coming in as the second seed of their region and are likely coming in with something to prove. For others like Vietnam’s Legion Esports and Mongolia’s The MongolZ, they’re the best their region has to offer. They fought hard to be their region’s representatives and now they face one more battle to earn the right to compete with the best of the best.

Who among the M6 Wild Card teams will take the final spot on the World Championship stage? We’ll find out soon starting on November 21.
