Once again it comes down to the Philippines versus Indonesia to decide which nation makes it to the prestigious event.
It’s the Philippines’ last chance to make it to the Honor of Kings (HoK) Mid-Season Invitational 2024. Set to take place at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from August 1 to 4, twelve professional esports teams will compete for the lion’s share of the USD 3,000,000 prize pool and the title of the best HoK team.
To commemorate this special occasion, HoK has launched an exclusive EWC skin called Heavenblade for everyone’s favorite dual-sword-wielding hero, Allain. Along with the new skin, HoK is releasing a theme song called “Invincible.” The song was produced by the Grammy-award nominated producer Mighty Mike and mixed by Grammy-award-winning audio mixer Tom Norris.
The HoK Invitational Midseason 2024 will feature a single round-robin format with teams split into two groups. Participants will compete in best-of-one matches, with the top four from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
Starting August 3, the quarterfinals will feature best-of-three matches, followed by the semifinals and finals, which will feature best-of-five matches.
The final team from SEA will be determined tomorrow, with the SEA Showdown match happening on July 30, 3 PM (UTC+3). Indonesia’s Rex Regum Qeon and Philippines’ BOOM Esports will go head-to-head to secure their ticket to the HoK Mid-Season Invitational.
The match will be broadcast on EN/AR/ID/FL streams across YouTube, Facebook, Twitch.tv, TikTok, and Honor of Kings in-game TV.
Earn rewards during the tournament!
From July 26 to August 4, players can earn event currency by logging in, playing matches, or spectating matches. Spend the currency to flip 12 squares that represent the 12 squads. Rewards can be claimed when flipping the 3rd, 6th, 9th, and 12th squares. Flip all the squares to participate in the lucky draw, with a chance to get the EWC exclusive Allain skin, Recall, Trail, Finisher, or Diamonds x20.
The missions will refresh daily at 05:00 (UTC+0). Unclaimed currencies will not carry over to the next day. Rewards will be sent via in-game Mail within 24 hours.
A new theme song will be released for the HoK Invitational Midseason on July 29. A blend of electronic music and hip-hop, the song showcases the passion for competitive esports. A dedicated music video will be released on July 31. This video uses an innovative editing technique to present a unique artistic visualization of Saudi Arabia – providing an exceptional auditory and visual musical experience for HoK fans.
The HoK Mid-Season Invitational 2024 will be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch.tv, TikTok and Honor of Kings’ in-game TV.
