Day one of the MPL PH S11 playoffs was a day of dominance as Blacklist International and RSG Slate PH crushed their competition!
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) PH S11 Playoffs will run from May 4-7 at the SMX convention center. Hundreds of fans will come together to see the best Mobile Legends the Philippines has to offer.
Turns out the best Mobile Legends in the Philippines come from reigning MPL champions Blacklist International. They take a convincing 3-0 victory against long-time rivals Smart Omega. Later in the day, RSG Slate PH also sweep in their series against Onic PH.
These performances come in spite of the tournament-wide ban of the hero Diggie, a support hero who uses time magic to enhance his team. He was an integral part of the strategy of numerous teams such as Blacklist International and RSG Slate PH.
“We have observed a visual bug related to Diggie’s lock settings and Young Again’s passive ability, allowing the user to see the opponent outside its vision range. With this, Diggie will be banned from the tournament until 16 May 2023,” MPL Philippines explained in their statement.
This means that Diggie will remain banned for the remainder of the playoffs and even into the 2023 SEA Games.
With these decisive wins, Blacklist and RSG will move on to face Bren Esports and ECHO at the upper bracket semifinals.
