23 teams head to Malaysia, the land where it all began, to see who’ll become an MLBB world champion.

After weeks of grueling competition, we finally have our 23 M6 teams vying to become our new MLBB world champion. It’s been a season full of surprises and upsets, with many teams stepping up to challenge established names.

An immediate thing you’ll notice with this list is that some favorite teams did make it, though not from where you’d expect.

Team Liquid PH and Fnatic ONIC ID didn’t qualify but their counterparts, Team Liquid ID and Fnatic ONIC PH, did. Team Liquid earned their spot by beating rivals RRQ Hoshi to claim their very first Indonesian championship. Meanwhile, Fnatic ONIC has been the best team in the Philippines from the start, even almost achieving the perfect season.

Speaking of dominant teams, Malaysia’s very own Selangor Red Giants are coming in as favorites despite an early scare in their playoff run. The Giants were riding high until TODAK knocked them down to the lower bracket, to the shock of many.

However, the Giants have proven that they have the heart of real champions and were able to recover quickly. They would breeze through their lower bracket matches and get their revenge against TODAK with a clean sweep. With their M6 slot secured, the Giants would handily defeat Team Vamos to get their second Malaysian championship.

The BloodThirstyKings were also able to remind everyone why they were the original rulers of North America. After being down 0-3, they were able to complete the reverse sweep against powerhouse Cloud9, punching their ticket to M6. CIS’s Team Secret, formerly Deus Vult, are keeping up with the team’s legacy of near-perfect M series attendance. And China’s KeepBest Gaming continues to be the face of the budding Chinese MLBB scene.

All of these teams will be battling out later this December, with the Wildcard hopefuls starting earlier on November 21. With none of the previous world champions attending this year, it’s anyone’s guess who’ll be raising this year’s trophy.
