A new patch and a new coach is a rough combination for the Phoenixes.
Things are looking dire for TNC Pro Team as they continue their slide down the rankings after losing both their games in week five of MPL PH S16.
Coming into the second half of the season, all MPL teams had to contend with the hefty Project Next patch. With four new maps and a slew of reworks and adjustments, it’s a lot to take in even with a week’s worth of preparation.
“Nung una nahirapan kami kasi bago, hindi kami familiar,” said TNC’s assistant coach Robert “Hito” Candoy to the media.

A measured response from Hito despite his less than ideal coaching debut with TNC Pro Team. Head coach Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic was unable to join TNC due to unforeseen circumstances. Still, Hito is ready to take on a more direct role in the team’s development.
But the fact of the matter is that TNC Pro Team are trending downwards in the standings. Plus, with AP.Bren earning their third win and Team Falcons snapping their seven-match losing streak, TNC might find themselves in dangerous territory soon. Coach Hito remains positive however, believing that his team is about 70-80% adjusted to the new patch.
