Red Carpet Aces: Our Favorite Alas Pilipinas Looks From The FIVB Men’s World Championship Draw

By RJ Ballecer - September 16, 2024

The 2025 FIVB Men’s World Championship Draw also gave us a glimpse of the Alas Pilipinas as modern-day gentlemen in sharp-looking suits.

Alas Pilipinas made sure to come out in style on a big night for Philippine volleyball during the FIVB Men’s World Championship Draw at the Solaire Resort in Pasay. Dressed in sharp suits, our aces turned the venue’s red carpet into their personal runway as they posed for members of the media in attendance.

So as we awaited their pool stage opponents, we also saw our favorite men’s volleyball players in a fashionable getup.

With that, scroll through for our favorite looks from that night!

Starting off our list is longtime middle blocker Kim Malabunga, who wore a bright green suit with an accompanying tassel brooch. Despite being one of the seniors, Malabunga didn’t hesitate to go for a bolder choice of color.

Wing spiker Jade Disquitado rocked an earthy-toned look as he arrived in a light brown suit with a matching tie and pair of dress shoes.

Meanwhile, Michaelo “Buds” Buddin went for a more “traditional” approach as he wore a navy blue suit for the night, which is accentuated by his gold bracelet, watch, and even the light blue pocket square. Opting for brown horse-bit loafers also paid off, as it perfectly complemented his suit’s shade of blue.

Noel Kampton

Similar to his teammate, it’s a more traditional approach for La Salle gunner Noel Kampton as he rocked a gray suit with black accents. A floral-patterned necktie, though, provides a welcome accent to the rising star’s look!

EJ Casaña

While it’s hard to see through the photos, playmaker EJ Casaña actually wore a velvet-like suit that was arguably the classiest among his Alas Pilipinas mates that night.

Josh Ybañez

Last but not least, is “Kween” Josh Ybañez (on the left), who looked stylish in a dark blue suit topped off by black accents in his lapel, buttons, and dress shoes. It’s worth noting, though, that Kween Joshie wore a bowtie, instead of the more conventional tie to complete his look.

How about you, what was your favorite Alas Pilipinas look from that historic night?
