Alberto Brothers Aim To Give Access Plus Racing A 4-Peat In 2024 PSBK

Access Plus Racing announces the two talented racers on their roster as they aim for four-peat in the upcoming 2024 Philippine Superbike Championship.

With the 2024 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) just a few weeks away, Access Plus Racing has now revealed its title contenders for the upcoming season.

The team will be aiming for a 4-peat with reigning champion Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto, who won the Rider of the Year titles in ’21, ’22, and ’23. Completing the 1-2 punch for Access Plus Racing is his younger brother Troy Alberto who is racing alongside in the Overall and Pro Classes.

Both riders will run the latest-spec Ducati Panigale V4 that made its PSBK debut last year. Lighter, smarter, and faster, the Panigale V4 is the closest iteration ever to a competition WorldSBK bike. It propelled the older Alberto to 6 overall victories and 5 podium finishes last year to secure the championship.

“2024 will be a very interesting season. Not only will I be aiming for my 4th consecutive title, but I’ll also be racing against my brother Troy who’s a really strong rider. We’re in the same team and we’re family, so it’s going to be interesting how that dynamic will play out. I’m really excited to start the season and having extra motivation this year to push even harder,” said TJ Alberto.

Accompanying the team in 2024 is official partner Shell Advance. Its fully synthetic range is the oil being used and recommended by Ducati for its ultimate performance and protection. Meeting the rigorous demands of racing, Shell Advance oils ensure that the Ducati Panigale V4 of Access Plus Racing are protected against extreme temperatures up to 175-deg Celsius, additional horsepower at 355.9 km/h, and more fuel efficient for longer at 17,000 rpm.

The Alberto brothers have been heavily testing over the past few weeks in preparation for the 2024 championship. Early indications show that TJ and Troy Alberto are equally matched on pace, which will make for a very interesting season as they take Access Plus Racing to overall victories.

TJ Alberto has his eyes set on securing a fourth consecutive title. Troy Alberto, on the other hand, will be competing full-time in the Philippines after concluding his WorldSSP300 campaign at the end of last year. The younger Alberto last raced on the PSBK grid in 2021 before making a wildcard appearance during the 2023 season finale.

“After two years racing out of the country, I’m excited to come home to the Philippine Superbike Championship. Myself and the team have been putting in the work the past few months and I feel ready to race. My target is to go for the win and to have fun racing hard against the other guys,” Troy Alberto shared.

The action gets underway on the 11th of May at the Batangas Racing Circuit. It will then shuffle to-and-from the Clark International Speedway until the season finale on the 13th of October 2024.
